LEADING FROM EXPERIENCE
Mallorie & Jim Rasberry and Josh Nowell will tell you how their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi, created an atmosphere to instill preservation, promotion, and economic development efforts community wide.
The trio may be featured on HGTV's show Home Town, just renewed for a 4th season, for their work with residential remodeling with show hosts, Erin & Ben Napier, but Josh, Jim & Mallorie got their start in downtown revitalization. The Napiers, Nowells, and Rasberrys are more than just best friends and family, they are business partners, real estate developers, USA Made advocates and are still very involved with economic development and volunteerism in their city.
Together this team has collectively restored over 60,000 sq.ft of commercial space, over 40 historic homes, recruited and retained over 25 businesses, operate 3 retail stores, secured and manage a national furniture line and operate a bed and breakfast - all while having their individual small businesses and raising families. It’s that dynamic that has given them the ability to tell their story of small town revitalization and help other communities have a comeback story of their own.
